The Challenge
Our client faced the task of overhauling a critical enterprise solution – a two-decade-old legacy aviation insurance web application. This application held substantial significance as it was extensively utilized by our client’s global underwriters and external brokers under a SaaS model. The client sought a modernized version that would be easily maintainable and offer an enhanced user experience.
The client’s primary requirement was to identify an outsourcing partner capable of revamping the application while navigating its intricate business logic.
Collaboration with Dignifyd
Engaging as the chosen software development outsourcing partner, Dignifyd assembled a dedicated team of seasoned experts. This specialized team comprised a software architect who also assumed the role of project manager, a proficient business analyst, three adept back-end developers, three skilled front-end developers, and a meticulous QA specialist. Project management was a collaborative effort, involving Dignifyd’s PM and BA, alongside the client’s product owner and scrum master.
Development and
Quality Assurance
Leveraging Azure DevOps Server, Dignifyd’s developers established a streamlined CI/CD pipeline to expedite the delivery of requested modifications. The team performed code refactoring, replacing outdated technologies with contemporary alternatives, and optimizing the application’s architecture. A novel permission structure was integrated, and functionalities were refined, including automated processes for manual recalculations and audits, enhancing user workflow efficiency.
Throughout the project, Dignifyd’s team provided proactive guidance, minimizing integration hurdles and mitigating risks associated with compatibility with the previous application’s architecture. Rigorous quality assurance encompassed performance and functional testing, encompassing smoke tests, UAT tests, and regression tests to safeguard against unintended impacts on existing features.
